How to use The Tachymeter

To gauge the speed of an object using a tachymeter, you need to know the set distance between two points. Let’s say you’re at a racetrack and you know the distance between turn 1 and turn 2 is 1 Km. With that knowledge, you can measure the average speed of a car between these two points.

As soon as the car passes turn 1, push the start button (top) on your chronograph. When it arrives at turn 2, stop it.

Suppose it took the car 40 seconds to go from turn 1 to turn 2. According to your chronograph 40 seconds lines up with 90 hash mark on your tachymeter bezel, so the car was averaging 90 km/h between turn 1 and turn 2.

How to use The Pulsometer

A built-in pulsometer scale (outer ring between 12:00 o’clock and 3:00 o’clock) yields complete accuracy when performing pulse readings.

1) Push the start button (top) on your chronograph.
2) Count 15 heart beats and immediately stop the chronograph.
3) Read the corresponding number located on the outer ring. This is the heart pulsation in beats per minute.
